Pre-Treatment Advice for the Best Results
- Our waxing services achieve the best results when the hair to be waxed is at least 0.5cm long. This is usually about four weeks after your last treatment, although exact times vary from person to person.
- Don’t shave the area to be waxed for three weeks prior to your appointment.
- Keep the area to be waxed out of the sun for at least two days prior to your appointment.
- Before coming in for your appointment, lightly exfoliate the area to be waxed with an exfoliation mitt and an antibacterial cleansing gel.
Post-Treatment Advice
- Lotion should be applied to the waxed area straight after the treatment is completed. This prevents ingrown hairs as well as irritation and infection. This is part of our service.
- Excessive exercise can cause irritation to the waxed area, so you should avoid such exercise for 24 hours.
In general, you should shower straight after you exercise before then using an antibacterial cleansing gel on the waxed area. This clears away sweat from your follicles, as sweat can carry bacteria. - Exfoliating regularly after your wax treatment will prevent ingrown hairs from developing. You should exfoliate three days after your appointment and then every two days.
- Shaving between waxing appointments impacts the growth cycle of your hair. For the best results, avoid shaving.
